Many thanks to the Greg Biffle Foundation for their gracious grant! We are honored to support you with your mission as you help out animal welfare charities like ourselves!

Combined Federal Campaign Kick-off Cancelled -- Tuesday October 1st, 2013

Folks, the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) kick-off for 2014 has been canceled due to the government shut-down. The pledging will still be available but the big meet-n-greet will not be happening. Unfortunately, the big meet-n-greet is essential for most donors to find their favorite charity, so for the less known non-profits apart of the CFC, we are easily overlooked. We rely on these gracious donations throughout the year as we attempt to help more animals in crisis. It is truly a sad day. Please spread the word about our mission and perhaps help us not be overlooked this coming sponsored year! Thank you!

We have wonderful news - our little Misty Wiggles has found an awesome forever home! We love you Misty and hope you enjoy your new forever home with Tom, Teresa and Beebo!

Maximum Woo Adopted! -- Friday February 10th, 2012

We are so excited for Woo and his new forever friend, Teresa. Since Woo came to live here at Fuzzbucket Farm, he has had a difficult time of it. He didn't cozy up to anyone and just didn't have enough room to run. Now, he has a whole house to himself and his very own person to pamper him! We wish Woo and Teresa the best!! We love you Woo!

Build-A-Bear Fund -- Thursday September 8th, 2011

We were gratiously awarded a Build-A-Bear grant for kitty supplies! Thank you Build-A-Bear!

Going Green Part II -- Thursday August 4th, 2011

The GeoThermal stuff is still going on. They are now installing a back-up generator that will keep us and the fuzzbuckets with power in the case of an emergency. Plus, we have now moved on into our Going Green Solar phase. The solar panels are installed and are now currently being wired up for supplemental energy and to cut down on our electric energy bills. We still need to get a trencher out here to dig up the rest of our yard (never mind the huge mound trains due to the geothermal installation), so we can connect the solar power to us. Ugh, okay so Going Green ain't for any weak-kneers. Don't get me wrong, I love going green, but there are soooo many contractors running about and the cats are all in moods. Luckily, the end is in sight and we can put our heads together for more, yes more, green ideas for Wishful Thinking Endeavors, Fuzzbucket Farm! Yeehaw~!

Going Green Part I -- Friday June 17th, 2011

We here at Fuzzbucket Farm are going GREEN! We are installing a GeoThermal system to help ecologically heat and cool our home and kitty facility! We are also installing high-tech air filtration systems to decrease the litter dust and kitty dander. We two-leggers are excited, but with all the fuss and weird drill noises, the four-leggers are having extra hairballs this week. But once it's all over, we will decrease our carbon footprint and provide wonderful air for all to enjoy!

Simba and Meg adopted! -- Tuesday April 12th, 2011

I am glad to announce that Simba and Meg (brother and sister) were adopted out today by a lovely young couple, Levi and Jenni and their kitten, Summer! Simba and Meg are happy to have a new forever home and can't wait to make friends with Summer. Hugs and Kisses to all fuzzies!

OPF Grant Recipient -- Saturday March 19th, 2011

We were gratiously awarded a spay and neuter grant from Ohio Pet Fund! Thank you for all who buy the special dog/cat license plates!

Springtime! -- Saturday March 19th, 2011

Yeah! It seems to be Springtime early here in Ohio. We aren't complaining! We were able to get outside on the farm and get the greenhouse going...gotta grow some Catnip for the felines! Plus, we are building a reinforced wall outside the basement door, so the cats had some free "cat tv" all weekend while they watched us pull several muscles. Strange....no fuzzy critter offered to help....hmmmmmm.

Orange Julius -- Tuesday March 15th, 2011

Orange Julius (now being called Duncun McMuffin MacLeod) was not a happy camper downstairs, so we moved him up into our kitchen to be center stage for a bit. The more attention he gets from us two-leggers, the more he'll come out of his hissiness. He is doing quite well after a week. He doesn't seem to mind the lunchmeat nibbles, Subway chicken teriyaki bites, and McDonald's burger bits. We found a way to his heart.....FOOD! He isn't letting us touch him yet, but it will be soon enough. He is eating from our hands now and doesn't seem to mind the constant human and feline activity around him. In fact, when we all sit down for dinner, he starts chirping for his yummies!

Big Ice Storm! -- Wednesday February 2nd, 2011

Wow, did we have an ice storm! We had rain, on top of the snow, then had more snow, and capped it off with more rain. We had an inch of ice on everything and all the snow, both old and new, became a skating rink. Impressive really, if you didn't have to be out in it. I always feel bad for the kitties and other critters in weather like that. We had a backup generator ready for the just-in-case scenario, but as we were starting it up to test it, my fiance pulled too hard and the cord snapped (he is a previous wrestler/football player with lots of strength...love him dearly). Soooo, we didn't have a generator afterall but didn't need it thankfully as we didn't lose power. I would much rather have snow to push around than deal with another ice storm any day. Hopefully, Spring is here soon!!

Grumpy Upstairs! -- Wednesday January 26th, 2011

Wow! Grumpy finally found his courage and wandered upstairs today! He is making wonderful progress and doesn't even mind the strategically placed pat while being fed. Soon he will know the true power of Love!

Orange Julius Captured -- Tuesday November 30th, 2010

After two years of feeding the stray cat population at a spot in Huber Heights and catching all but one, Orange Julius was finally captured. He tested out fine and quite fluffy from all our food and the garbage dump, a whopping 22lbs! He is quite Hissy and Fussy, so he has a few nicknames, but he will come around with some TLC. He is one of the biggest orange Maine Coons we have ever seen.

Our New Abode -- Thursday July 1st, 2010

We have moved into one location instead of being spread out in two spots. We now have 10 acres of land and hope to make this in to a wonderfully successful no kill shelter. We are in the baby stages, but we have succeeded in gaining our 501(c)3 status. That has been an incredible help to us, so a heartfelt thank you to the helpful people at the IRS. And can you believe, with our new home (previously a vacated foreclosure) came twenty feral/stray kitties!! I guess they knew which house to hunker down in! Whew! Do we have some work ahead of us!
